Subject: ACP Capital of Texas Chapter 2003 Elections - Review Copy

See what you think of the letter below and the tailored nominating form.

I'll do the MVP thing as a separate email since it has a different due date.

I will also send you a sample E-Ballot so the Board can approve the format prior to election time.

Dear Chapter Member:

Have you heard a little voice in your head saying, "I sure would like to be more involved in my local ACP chapter!"  Or how about this one, "I've got some great ideas that could really take my ACP chapter to the next level."  Well, if those little voices have been talking to you, now's the time to do something about it!

We will be holding our ACP Capital of Texas Chapter elections for the Board of Directors in November.  If you're interested in serving the chapter in a leadership position for 2004, please let me know by Friday, October 31, 2003.  What we will need from you is your name, contact information, and a brief bio-sketch on your industry/government & ACP experience so we can let the membership know a little something about you.

We are also requesting that you fill out the attached nomination form and send it to us by Friday, October 31, 2003.  Yes, you may nominate yourself on this form; but we will still need your bio-sketch.
Nominations will be accepted in either of the following two forms:

Here is a list of the positions and the eligibility requirements associated with them:

Officers (each nominee must be a member of this chapter for at least 1 year and be in good standing)
President Elect for the 2006-2007 term
                Secretary
                Treasurer

Directors (each nominee must be a member of ACP in good standing)
                Communications
                Membership
                Program

Again, We need this information by Friday, October 31, 2003.  We will present all eligible candidates in our November chapter meeting and then conduct a formal vote on the candidates.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Don Hall at the cell phone number listed below.

Thank you in advance for your consideration,
